To the Leaders and Athletes in general

Firsty I want to introduce myself as President of the Argentine Deaf Sport Confederation and at the same time of the Organizing Committee of the Pan-American Games 2003, with a sport trajectory, beinning as sportsman to end up being later one of the coordinators of the trips made to Copenhague, Denmark and Rome, Italy to participate of the well-known Deafolympics.

It will really be a new experience for me, to be host of the Pan-American Games to be carried out the days 10 at 28 of September 2003 in Buenos Aires - Argentina, in fact in the surroundings of the Centro de Alto Rendimiento that will be the Headquarters of the Games and in the near places, looking for to optimize a good development and the athletes'displacement, the leaders, the officials and the people in general with the purpose of impacting with the colorings and the sport, social and cultural climate.

The Pan-American Sport Organization of Deaf (PANAMDES) the Sport International Committee of Deaf (CISS) support the Games and the organization of the same ones they are recognized by the Argentinean Government's following institutions, that is: Govern of the City of Buenos Aires/Honorable Senate of The Nation/Secretary of Sports and Tourism of the Nation/Confederation Argentina of Sports/Argentinean Olympic Committee.

The conduction that I preside perfectly knows which are the responsibilities to respond to the demands of the Games, since it will be a hierachy event, thanks to the disinterested cooperation and the not deaf people effort toward the deaf community to consent to the equiality of opportunities with the wise necessity of making them enjoy, not only as sportsmen but also as human.

I appeal to the trust of overcoming obstacles without differentiation that may originate in the organizational aspects, because together we look after the execution of our duty so that you get a pleasing memory of the Argentina, beyond the political and economic questions.

There is of for means a bias so that there is an excellent organization because it is our yearning to welcome them to feel like at home, causing happiness, emotions, experiences, exchange of qualities and for mainly the friendship to lengthen the experiences in the Deafolympics to take place in Melbourne -Australia in the year 2005.

Thank you in anticipation for the interest to be part of the Games and to enrich with honour the soprt history of the Deaf Argentina. It is our big dream.
